Read Matthew 6: 9-13 ESV
Give us this day our daily bread,
Please, Father, only YOU know what kind of bread we will need to sustain us on any particular day. Help us trust you to meet these needs at the right moment and at the right hour. Teach us how to ask for our bread and approach you as our good Father, believing that you will give us good gifts to nourish and satisfy us.
Father, we tend to ask quickly for others for their needs but are reluctant to ask for such personal requests for ourselves. I pray that we will let go of those hesitations and receive the bread you place on our table. Thank you. Thank you that you know we need these things before we even ask. Thank you that Jesus taught us how to ask. It’s in his name we pray. Amen
