The Heroes of Olympus is a pentalogy of fantasy-adventure novels written by American author Rick Riordan. The novels detail a conflict between Greek demigods, Roman demigods, and Gaia (Roman name Terra). In the fourth book of the series, there is also a semi-large fight against Tartarus, which, in Greek mythology, was the darkest and deepest point of the Underworld.
The series can be read as a standalone volume, but is meant to be read after Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Riordan introduces Roman mythology in the series alongside several new characters, primarily from the Roman Camp Jupiter. The first book of the series, The Lost Hero, was published on October 12, 2010.[4] The final entry in the series, The Blood of Olympus, was published on October 7, 2014.[5] The story is continued in the sequel series The Trials of Apollo.

Rick Riordan got his start in publishing by writing adult mystery novels. His first book published was his Tres Navarre series. He wrote this while teaching full time. Before becoming an author, he taught English and History in both San Francisco and Texas.
In this series, the main character of the book, Percy Jackson, is given a quest via an oracle. He must complete the tasks in order to avoid grave consequences. The Percy Jackson books each have one quest that becomes more dangerous. The story revolved around Percy, his friends Annabeth and Grover, and their life in and beyond Camp Half-Blood.
In this second book of the Percy Jackson series, Percy is back at school and his biggest problem is his new friend Tyson. Tyson is a homeless kid with some mental challenges but is not who he appears to be.

Percy Jackson makes a cameo appearance in this series that contains three books. The Kane Chronicles is a series based on Egyptian mythology. Carter and Sadie Kane have been split up their entire lives and must learn to use their Egyptian magic to defeat Egyptian Gods and monsters to protect their home world.
From what I can tell they are set after the Heroes of Olympus series & The Kane Chronicles, so if you want to read via the timeline of the books I would read them between HoO and ToA/MC! Hope this helps!
I just finished the Percy Jackson books and was going to go to heroes of olymopus then the trials then the other ones like my brother but I went online and got about 20 different answers on the order so why do you think this is the way the books should be read?

Jason has a problem. He doesn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she's his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they're all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for "bad kids." What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea-except that everything seems very wrong.Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all-including Leo-related to a god.Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense in The Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series.
The immensely popular series gave rise to several Riordan spin-offs and inspired the 2010 and 2013 Percy Jackson films. We created custom jackets inspired by Percy's connections to water and finished them with symbols inspired by each book. The five hardcover novels in the set are published by Disney-Hyperion.
For this, I have an entire series: The Penderwicks, by Jeanne Birsdall. These books are funny, and interesting, and have the most amazing characters!! I love these books so much, and I feel like everyone should read the books.
My mom first read the Little House books to me when I was really little, and up until about 4th grade, they were my very favorite books. I reread a few of them a few months ago, and there is definitely some problematic stuff in there, but I think that the series is a really fascinating way to look into what life was like a long time ago. The stories are also so fun to read!
2023 is the year for Percy Jackson fans! In addition to the upcoming Nico di Angelo adventure, Rick Riordan is FINALLY publishing the sixth book in the Percy Jackson series, featuring Percy, Annabeth and Grover, the original Lightning Thief trio!
If you want to read them in loose publication order, then one of the most popular routes is to read the books in order by when the series was introduced. While I omit companion novels, the Demigods and Magician short stories (The Son of Sobek, The Staff of Serapis, and The Crown of Ptolemy), these crossover books can be read after The Kane Chronicles.
The Trevi Fountain is the largest fountain in the city and one of the most beautiful. It depicts the titan Oceanus, titan of the sea and water, riding a chariot pulled by hippocampi, sea horses. Fans of the Percy Jackson books will remember Rainbow, the hippocampus that helps Percy and his friends throughout the series.
The new book, which does not yet have a title, picks up with Nico in the aftermath of the most recent Percy Jackson-related series, The Trials of Apollo. Nico lost his friend Jason Grace in that series, but still has a ray of sunshine in his life in the form of his boyfriend, Will Solace, the son of Apollo.
In The Tower of Nero, the final book in The Trials of Apollo, Nico started hearing a voice calling out to him from Tartarus, the deepest, darkest part of his father's realm, the Underworld. Nico believes this voice to be that of Bob the Titan, who sacrificed himself to help Percy and Annabeth Chase escape Tartarus in the previous Heroes of Olympus series. In the new story, Nico and Will are determined to rescue Bob, no matter what Camp Half-Blood counselors Chiron and Mr. D have to say about it.
Percy Jackson books are intended for kids ages 9-14. The books blend the lines between middle-grade and young-adult fiction, so it can be a good choice to challenge young readers. At the same time, Percy grows throughout the series, so it will still be exciting enough to keep them reading.
The sequel series, The Heroes of Olympus, is similar, although I would put it in the YA category. In this series, the characters are older, the books are longer, and the themes are slightly more mature. There is nothing explicit in these books, although romance is a more pronounced theme, with more characters dating, kissing, and cuddling than in the original series.
Modern retellings of old mythologies are consistently popular and interesting, spinning classic tales with contemporary twists. The Percy Jackson films and book series are no different -- following the story of Percy Jackson, a demigod born to Poseidon and a human. After discovering his true heritage, Percy is fully and quickly enveloped in the world of gods and demigods, beings he once thought were just creatures of myth. As the drama and high-stakes lives of the gods become his business, it makes for an excellent book series and a film adaptation to boot.
Though there is no clear answer in the films, the author of the books, Rick Riordan, has confirmed that Percy Jackson is still 17. Percy Jackson is a main character in Riordan's other book series, Heroes of Olympus, and he is the Head Counsellor at Poseidon's Camp. Riordan says that only a year passes during Heroes of Olympus, meaning that Percy stays 17 until the end of that series, which takes place after the story of the Percy Jackson films. This means, for viewers of the film adaptations, Percy Jackson is 16 by the end of the story that they know. 2b1af7f3a8
