Read Luke 1:17b “…to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.”

God desired for his people, us, to be prepared internally (make ready) and externally (prepared) for the coming of Salvation—Jesus.

In the coming weeks, ask

• What is the Spirit doing in you to ready you internally for the Lord?

• What is the Spirit doing in you to prepare you externally for the Lord?

• Ask God to show you any places of resistance, rebellion, or apathy to his preparations.

• How can you work with the Lord to ready and prepare his people for the arrival of Jesus?
