The Cosmic Destiny religion, known as the Shrines of the Red Nebula, was the creator of the Cosmic Destiny, and the one true god of the universe. The Cosmic Destiny god was a man named Arkhos, and the religion was based on his teachings, which emphasized the doctrine of Karma, one's actions causing consequences. Karma was also the basis of the Cosmic Destiny creed of The Cosmic Destiny. The Cosmic Destiny's first creed was The Cosmic Destiny Creed, and belief in the Cosmic Destiny was a necessity for those in the Red Nebula. Those who did not believe in the Cosmic Destiny were excommunicated from the Red Nebula, and were deported to the planet Anuvia. The religion was also a part of the common culture of the Red Nebula, and was practiced by all, including the followers of the Cosmic Destiny. The Cosmic Destiny religion and creed were entirely destroyed after Domina Tagge's destruction of the planet, and Arkhos died as well. All followers of the Cosmic Destiny were rounded up, and deported to another planet; the profession of Cosmic Destiny was completely outlawed in the Red Nebula.
Following the destruction of the Red Nebula, the only two known planets in the Red Nebula were the planet Arils and Hestes. Arils, located on the far side of the Red Nebula, was the home of the Kai warriors. The planet Hestes, located near the Red Nebula's optical core, was the home of the Nulth. The Nulth had been under attack by the Kai warriors, and the Red Nebula was their only source of protection. The Nulth, led by Agra Yul, were able to successfully repelled the attack. The Nulth escorted the Kai warriors out of the Red Nebula. Kai users of the First Level of the Cosmic Destiny were not allowed to enter the Red Nebula. This is because the primary function of the Cosmic Destiny was to contain the power of the Second Level of the Cosmic Destiny, known as the Seven Stars. The domain of the Seven Stars was the Red Nebula, and the Cosmic Destiny was the only way to protect it. The Nulth told the Kai that they would be allowed to enter the Red Nebula, and they reluctantly allowed them to do so. The Kai were told that they could enter the Red Nebula, but they would be banished from it.
The Excalibur was sent to the planet to investigate, and after a year of searching, a group of representative from the Galactic Republic visited the planet and had a conversation with the survivors, learning a bit about the society they once were, and what happened to their civilization. The Republic was interested in making contact with the Red Nebula survivors.
In 2560, the Scimitar-class1 warship Excalibur was sent to the planet in an attempt to find any survivors of the planetary destruction, and learn more about the Red Nebula's mysterious civilization. Captain Domina Tagge of the Excalibur found a group of survivors, and the Red Nebula Survivors' Vanguard, and they used a series of holographic signals to send out a distress call. 827ec27edc
