This method only allows to the sender & receiver to use a single method. You can use two methods to make a pair of sender & receiver. The first method is you use an OTDR and the second one is an on-chip EMC OBD. In general, the OTDR method is slowly advancing and has a greater application prospect, but also has some disadvantages.
